伊利岛也叫眼泪岛。飘洋过海几个月来到美国的早期移民和奴隶都是从这里被检查入境的。医生们忙着在咳嗽的，发烧的，残废的人衣服上做记号。有人从这里开创梦想，有人被眼泪岛拒在新大陆的门外。

第一次坐飞机降落在newark机场的时候就在海平面上惊喜地认出了她--夕阳在均匀的涂抹在海面上，只有她，强烈的反射着耀眼的光芒。
今天得知她是世界上最容易识别的雕像之一。

the picture on the left looks like the woman in the painting is turning her head, because i set the exposure time longer than i could hold the camera still. the one on the right is one with a shorter exposure time for comparison.
左边这张的动态是我曝光时间过长的结果，因为手端相机有移动，所以画中女郎就回眸了：）右边这张是正常曝光的结果。
the title of the ad attracted me. "it is a brandnew world (but there is a lot of trash in front of my face.)"

I came back from NYC to Princeton Junction for the Dinky train to go back to Princeton. However, I was late by 2 seconds for the last Dinky at 1 AM. It was cold and spooky there 'cause there was nobody in the station. Luckily I remembered the phone number of John Pearson, a physics grad student in my school, and called him up to rescue me. I got home at 2 AM something, which marks the end of my "adventurous" NYC trip!
princeton junction火车站。晚上从纽约回来要在princeton junction转火车，结果眼睁睁的（几秒之差）错过了凌晨1点钟的最后一趟回普林斯顿的火车。整个小站静静的，好冷，就我一个人，不知所措。无奈中耍起无赖，去他的，我照张相再说！
后来想起物理系的一个研究生的电话，逼他起床开车来接我，总算在快三点前安全到了家。呼，我的纽约之行惊险落幕！
