Music: in particular Bop (Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, John Coltrane, Keith Jarrett), Fusion (Weather Report, Pat Metheny, Jan Garbarek), Contemporary (Arvo Part, Friedman Hertz), Minimalist (Steve Reich). Back in Italy I was leading a fusion quintet called Primigenia . Here in LA it is possible to enjoy an excellent Philharmonic , a good opera season, and a decent Jazz scene.
Sports: in particular ski (Meribel-Val Thorance, Val Gardena and the Dolomites, Squaw Valley), tennis and rowing (I was too often second in the Italian Championships ...).
